Have you ever wanted to be an Angel?
Chapman, Hext & Co, P. C. (CH&CO) has an affiliate company, The North Dallas Investment Group (NDIG), that has operated an “Angel Group” for a number of years. For those of you who are not familiar with the terminology, “Angel Group”, it is an organization where accredited investors can review the business plans of early stage companies that need a small amount of capital and are looking for individuals to invest. We are sending this email out to let everyone know about NDIG and the exciting changes that are taking place to make potential investments easier for investors to access and review.

NDIG has adopted a new online software platform for deal flow called Angelsoft. We have integrated this system into our website to take in deal flow from entrepreneurs and to also provide our investors with an online portal for viewing the information. Angelsoft also helps us manage activity and lets you see NDIG deals on the web. It is a new system designed specifically for the early stage investor market, and is being used by other groups in Texas such as Houston Angel Network, Central Texas Angel Network, and the Eyes of Texas Partners, to name only a few.

We'll be using this system internally at NDIG to help stimulate more activity between our investors. We will eventually be able to use Angelsoft to help us connect to other groups of investors around the state. It should help us provide investors who sign up with more visibility into the companies who approach us looking for investment capital and it will serve as a place for you to collaborate and share information with the other members of NDIG.
 
If you would like to have access to Angelsoft there is no charge, you just have to sign a form stating that you are an accredited investor. To be an accredited investor you have to have a net worth of $1,000,000 or prior years gross income of $200,000 per year for an individual or $300,000 per year joint income, in each of the two most recent tax years.   The signed form for accredited investors is a requirement of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
