Gregory W. Hext
Chairman and CEO of Chapman, Hext & Co

Greg’s 34-year background as a partner in Texas accounting firms formed the platform of expertise to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of Chapman, Hext in 2006 after serving for 16 years as the firm’s partner-in-charge of audit, consulting, and financial reporting.

His depth of experience ranges from the origination to placement phases of corporate transactions and he has aligned the firm with a broad range of clients domestically and internationally.  Greg also directs the activities of White Rock Advisors, the firm’s wealth management group and a venture fund.  Greg has extensive background starting in 1980’s dealing with the acquisition, financing and sale of various real estate projects throughout the country.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves on the boards of both corporations and charity organizations.

 

Bernard V. Carrico, Jr.
Senior Managing Director

Bernie is a seasoned executive with 40 years experience in creating shareholder value in both turnarounds and new ventures, 20 of which were in a “C” level position and 20 as an investment banker and founding general partner of two private equity firms. His experience traverses a number of verticals, including consumer products, distribution, retailing, business services and financial services.  In June, 2007 Bernie joined Chapman Hext & Co., to build and grow its affiliate investment bank, White Rock Advisors LLC.

Cindy Thyfault
Managing Director

Cindy Thyfault has over 25 years business experience in development, management and funding of agricultural value-added manufacturing projects, bioenergy projects, residential and industrial construction, building products, and consumer goods.  Cindy joined White Rock Advisors, LLC in October 2008 as a managing director focusing on the development and funding of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.

Since 1994 she has also served as President of Westar Trade Resources, a business and financial consulting firm, to develop new businesses, both domestically and internationally, and provide consulting services to companies from start-up through expansion.  She has assisted companies with obtaining over $85 million in grants.  She also has assisted her clients to obtain millions in financing through the use of USDA loan guarantees. Cindy is also an accomplished speaker and has given many presentations on value-added agricultural development and bio-energy topics. 

Thomas M. Kann
Director Life Settlements

Tom began his career on Wall Street in 1968 as a stockbroker with Bache & Co.  In 1970 he joined Loeb Rhoades & Co. where he was appointed trader in the newly created GNMA securities market.  During his career as a fixed income trader, department head, and institutional salesman he worked at such global investment banks as United California Bank, Smith Barney, Société Generale, Morgan Stanley, and UBS Securities.

Late in 2002, Tom became a Director of AmeriFirst, Inc. which through its subsidiary companies operated as a Provider, Servicer, and Fund Manager in Life Settlements.  In 2004, Tom left AmeriFirst and created Corinthians, LLC, a consulting company specializing in the Origination, Financing, Portfolio Modeling, Servicing, and Marketing of Life Insurance Policies in the Secondary Market.  Tom brings with him over 38 years experience in the financial markets and is a specialist in Life Asset Financing.  He holds FINRA licenses Series 7, 22, 24, and 63 and is a licensed agent in Life, Variable Annuities, and Health Insurance.

Edward Parrish Whitaker IV
Director 

Parrish managed over $286 million dollars working for Morgan Stanley for 5 years, winning the National Sales Director Award. Parrish left Morgan Stanley to pursue his interest in both commercial and residential real estate, buying and selling over 40 properties. In 2004 Parrish built a mortgage company, real estate company and an escrow company, doing business in all 50 states with 55 employees in less than 3 years. He had the foresight and vision to sell this company in April 2007, about 6 months before the real estate crash. He offers his clients valuable advice on when, what and how to create and find funding necessary for growth and expansion.

Parrish is also a California Real Estate Broker as well as a State Licensed Contractor. He is an expert on creating ways to fund deals that benefit all parties involved.
